What We Can Learn from White House Children: A Love Letter

We may never experience what these young ladies have, but we can certainly learn from their hearts.

Very few people over the course of history have the privilege to live in the White House, and ever fewer children at that.

So it's safe to say there is a special bond between those young ones who have experienced life inside 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue.

While political parties may seem more divisive then ever, two sisters penned a letter to another set of sisters that is worth all of us taking the time to stop and read. I'm talking specifically about the Bush twins writing to the Obama girls.

Jenna & Barbara Bush first wrote a letter to Sasha and Malia as they were about to enter the White House eight years ago, and now as they are getting ready to depart, the twins shared poignant and emotional parting thoughts.

According to Today.com, the Bush sisters stress to Sasha, now 15, and Malia, 18, that there is much to look forward to, but urge them to keep close in their hearts the experiences of the past two terms. We can only imagine what we'd find if these two wrote in a girls journal, but now we get a little insight thanks to this letter.
